My Mama and the Full-Scale Invasion / Drama, Dark Comedy
For Tickets & Info:

When war arrives at her doorstep, an 82-year-old Ukrainian woman has absolutely no intention of surrendering her independence, her sense of humor, or her beloved home in Kyiv. Her daughter, Sasha, watches from afar as Russia’s invasion turns everyday life into a dangerous and unpredictable ordeal. Unable to protect her mother or persuade her to leave, Sasha finds an unusual way to confront her fears: she lets her imagination run gloriously wild. Suddenly, her formidable mother becomes a larger-than-life heroine capable of advising Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, defeating Russian drones with jars of pickles, and even challenging God himself to explain the madness unfolding below. Written by Sasha Denisova, this extraordinary theatrical adventure blends family drama, political satire, and outrageous fantasy into a deeply personal portrait of courage under unimaginable circumstances. Beneath the absurd encounters and sharp comedy lies the complicated relationship between a fiercely independent mother and a daughter struggling with distance, helplessness, and overwhelming love. As reality and imagination collide, ordinary conversations take on extraordinary importance, and laughter becomes an unlikely companion to fear. Both heartbreaking and wonderfully defiant, this powerful play celebrates the stubborn human spirit and the remarkable strength of a mother who refuses to be intimidated.

Things That Are Round / Dark Comedy, Psychological Drama

Some conversations begin innocently enough, while others make you wonder whether you should have stayed home and locked the door. In Callie Kimball’s wonderfully peculiar psychological comedy, two extraordinary women enter a battle of personalities where politeness is questionable, honesty is dangerous, and ordinary social expectations have apparently taken an extended vacation. Tetherly is a dentist whose professional interests extend into the unsettling territory of existential terror. Nina is an aspiring opera singer with a sharp tongue, unpredictable instincts, and a questionable talent for babysitting. When these two formidable personalities collide, their encounter becomes an increasingly bizarre contest of truth, deception, vulnerability, and psychological gamesmanship. Neither woman seems particularly interested in following conventional rules, and their conversations move between wickedly funny observations and deeply uncomfortable revelations. What begins as an unusual interaction gradually develops into a strange dance of emotional challenges, with each woman determined to understand, unsettle, or outmaneuver the other. Beneath the eccentric humor, the play explores loneliness, personal identity, human connection, and the sometimes frightening consequences of revealing too much about ourselves. Clever, provocative, and delightfully unpredictable, Things That Are Round invites audiences into a world where every question carries another question, and even the simplest exchange might conceal something extraordinary.

Andy Warhol in Iran / Historical Drama, Comedy

It is 1976, and Andy Warhol has arrived in Tehran with his unmistakable artistic sensibilities, celebrity connections, and a distinctly glamorous assignment: photographing the wife of Iran’s Shah. For the internationally celebrated pop artist, the journey promises an exotic adventure filled with luxurious accommodations, extraordinary treasures, and enough room-service caviar to satisfy even the most demanding New York socialite. But beyond the elegant surroundings, Iran is experiencing political tensions that cannot be captured so easily through the lens of a Polaroid camera. Warhol’s carefully arranged visit takes an unexpected turn when he encounters a young Iranian revolutionary whose understanding of the world differs dramatically from his own. Their meeting brings together two men separated by culture, politics, privilege, and their ideas about what truly matters. As their conversations unfold, Warhol’s fascination with fame, beauty, and material extravagance faces questions that no fashionable Manhattan gathering could possibly prepare him to answer. Playwright Brent Askari blends historical imagination, witty exchanges, and cultural confrontation into an absorbing theatrical encounter against the backdrop of a nation approaching profound change. Entertaining and thought-provoking, Andy Warhol in Iran explores the uncomfortable intersection of art and politics while examining what happens when celebrity encounters a world that refuses to revolve around it.

The Bed Trick / Comedy, Contemporary Drama

College is supposed to be a wonderful opportunity for personal discovery, lasting friendships, and the occasional questionable decision. For freshmen Marianne and Lulu, however, the journey into adulthood quickly becomes a tangled adventure involving romance, jealousy, sexual expectations, and emotional confusion. Marianne is struggling to understand love and relationships following her parents’ divorce, while Lulu finds herself questioning the loyalty of a boyfriend whose wandering attention threatens their romance. Their socially awkward, theater-loving roommate Harriet introduces yet another complication through her involvement in a college production of Shakespeare’s All’s Well That Ends Well. Before long, the centuries-old theatrical concept known as the bed trick, involving deception and mistaken sexual identity, begins raising uncomfortable questions about consent, manipulation, and personal responsibility. As the roommates navigate parties, friendships, romantic disappointments, and the pressures of independence, their competing ideas about intimacy produce increasingly complicated situations. Playwright Keiko Green transforms Shakespearean inspiration into a sharp contemporary comedy where modern dating habits collide with timeless human insecurities. Beneath the playful dialogue and youthful chaos lies an examination of how people negotiate boundaries, confront difficult truths, and discover what they really want from one another. Bold, mischievous, and emotionally perceptive, The Bed Trick offers an entertaining portrait of young adults discovering that growing up rarely follows the script.

Monsters of the American Cinema / Drama, Dark Comedy

For Remy Washington, life has already delivered more heartbreak than any Hollywood horror screenplay could reasonably accommodate. Following the death of his husband, Remy finds himself responsible for two unexpected challenges: operating an inherited drive-in movie theater and raising Pup, his late husband’s teenage son. Remy is Black, gay, and accustomed to navigating a world that frequently misunderstands him. Pup is white, straight, fascinated by filmmaking, and trying to discover what kind of young man he wants to become. Despite their differences, the unlikely family members share a genuine affection for classic monster movies, finding common ground among the vampires, werewolves, and other wonderfully frightening creatures that populate the silver screen. But outside the comforting glow of cinematic fantasy, their relationship encounters more complicated dangers. When Pup becomes involved in bullying a gay classmate, Remy must confront disturbing questions about prejudice, masculinity, parenting, and the responsibilities that accompany love. Playwright Christian St. Croix uses the nostalgic atmosphere of American drive-in culture to explore family relationships and the frightening ways ordinary people can hurt one another. Combining heartfelt conversations, uncomfortable humor, and memorable cinematic references, Monsters of the American Cinema examines the difference between imaginary monsters and the very real fears hiding within everyday human behavior.
