Imagination Theatre - The Golden Bay Times

In the bustling streets of Depression-era New York City, where fortunes have vanished and hope is sometimes harder to find than a decent meal, a spirited young orphan named Annie refuses to believe that tomorrow cannot be brighter than today. Living under the watchful and frequently unpleasant eye of Miss Hannigan, Annie dreams of escaping the orphanage and finding the parents she believes are waiting somewhere beyond its walls. Her remarkable optimism catches the attention of Grace Farrell, the kindhearted assistant to billionaire Oliver Warbucks, who invites Annie to spend Christmas at his magnificent mansion. Suddenly surrounded by luxury, unfamiliar comforts, and people who seem genuinely interested in her happiness, Annie discovers that money can open extraordinary doors, although it cannot necessarily provide everything a person needs. Meanwhile, the scheming Miss Hannigan and her unscrupulous brother Rooster have their own ideas about Annie's unexpected good fortune. Featuring unforgettable songs including "Tomorrow," "It's the Hard Knock Life," and "Maybe," this beloved Broadway musical combines mischievous humor, colorful characters, lively choreography, and heartfelt emotion. Annie celebrates the courage of a young girl determined to find a family, discover where she belongs, and keep believing in brighter days.
