![]() | • MON NOV 24, 2025 • Kings run out of magic against relentless Timberwolves Sacramento Kings (117) vs Minnesota Timberwolves (112) Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento Kings hung tough for three quarters against the Minnesota Timberwolves, staying competitive thanks in large part to Domantas Sabonis, who posted a game-high 34 points along with 11 rebounds. Zach LaVine chipped in 25 points and Russell Westbrook notched his 205th career triple-double with 13 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds, but those efforts weren’t enough to stave off the damage. Minnesota grabbed control in the fourth quarter, out-scoring Sacramento 32-19, riding a strong finish from Anthony Edwards (30 points) and Julius Randle (26 points, 11 boards). Donte DiVincenzo added 20 points with five made three-pointers, while Naz Reid chipped in with a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double. The final score: Timberwolves 124, Kings 110. Minnesota now rides a four-game winning streak and sits comfortably early in NBA Cup group play, while the Kings drop to 3-10 overall and 1-5 away from home. The story of the night? Sacramento battled but lacked the decisive fourth-quarter punch to pull one off. Image Created By: The Golden Bay Times Graphics Dept.

![]() | • WED NOV 12, 2025 • Kings Drowned in Hawks’ FastBreak Flood Sacramento Kings (100) vs Atlanta Hawks (133) Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento Kings had a rough night on Wednesday as they were soundly defeated by the Atlanta Hawks, 133–100. The Hawks, fueled by a standout performance from Jalen Johnson with 24 points,10 rebounds and eight assists, nailed 57.6 % of their shots and never let the Kings get within striking distance. Sacramento struggled mightily, shooting just 39.1 % from the field and getting out‑rebounded 45 to 35 as Atlanta cruised. The home team stumbled out of the gate, falling behind by 17 points at halftime and seeing the Hawks extend their lead deep into the second half. Despite some effort from key contributors like Domantas Sabonis, the Kings never found offensive rhythm or consistency. With this loss the Kings drop further in the standings and will need to regroup quickly if they hope to turnaround their season. Image Created By: The Golden Bay Times Graphics Dept.
![]() | • TUE NOV 11, 2025 • Kings stumble as Nuggets flex late Burst Sacramento Kings (108) vs Denver Nuggets (122) Sacramento, CA - In front of their home crowd, the Kings couldn’t keep pace with Denver’s firepower and late game surge. The Nuggets built a steady lead and opened the fourth quarter with a 37 point outburst, finishing the night 122 to 108. Denver shot over 51 percent from the floor and 39 percent from three point range, while Sacramento struggled at 48 percent and just 30 percent from long range. On the Kings’ side, Domantas Sabonis delivered 16 points and 7 rebounds, and DeMar DeRozan added 16 points. Meanwhile, Denver got a dominant night from Nikola Jokić, whose all around presence helped pull the Nuggets clear. Sacramento also struggled defensively in the final stretch, allowing the Nuggets to escalate from a manageable gap into a decisive blowout. The Kings fall to 3 and 8, and it’s clear they’ve got holes to patch if they want to keep up in the West. Image Created By: The Golden Bay Times Graphics Dept.
![]() | • SUN NOV 9, 2025 • Wolves Howl Louder as Kings Get Run Out of Their Own Gym Sacramento Kings (114) vs Minnesota Timberwolves (144) Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento Kings had no answers for a red-hot Minnesota Timberwolves squad that showed up in Sacramento and steamrolled their way to a 144–117 victory on Saturday night. From the opening tip, it was clear the Wolves were hunting early. Minnesota dropped 31 in the first quarter, then doubled down with back-to-back 40-point explosions in the second and third, completely deflating the home crowd and any hope of a comeback. Sacramento, meanwhile, looked out of sync, sloppy with the ball, late on defensive rotations, and cold from beyond the arc. Domantas Sabonis was a lone bright spot for the Kings, returning from injury with 20 points and 13 rebounds, but his presence wasn’t enough to stop the bleeding. The Timberwolves got 26 from Anthony Edwards, who nailed five threes and added seven assists while Rudy Gobert went full beast mode with 19 points, 12 boards, and enough interior disruption to shut down the paint. Minnesota shot a scorching 53.6% from the field and kept the ball moving crisply, while Sacramento turned it over 18 times and allowed a season-worst 144 points. The Kings looked overwhelmed, outworked, and outgunned. If they want to stay relevant in the West, this kind of defensive disaster can’t repeat itself. ![]() | • FRI NOV 7, 2025 • Kings Get Blanketed as Thunder Keep Rolling Sacramento Kings (101) vs Oklahoma City Thunder (132) Sacramento, CA - In a decidedly lopsided outing at home, the Kings stumbled to a 132–101 defeat to the Thunder, who flashed superior dominance from start to finish. Sacramento kept pace early, but Oklahoma City steadily pulled away, thanks in large part to Isaiah Hartenstein’s explosive night: 33 points, 19 boards and a whole lot of momentum. The Thunder absolutely owned the paint, drilling a 60–34 margin inside that left the Kings scrambling in the shadows of the rim. While Sacramento managed pockets of resistance, the effort lacked consistency and clarity, leaving too much space and second chance life to their opponents. On the flip side, the Thunder looked sharp, composed and ready to win on a night they were pegged as favorites. For the Kings, the tune up alarm sounds louder: gaps in interior defense, rebound control and scoring flow all showed up in the stat lines. It’s a rough night for Sacramento, but maybe the wake up call they needed if they hope to climb out of this early slump. Image Created By: The Golden Bay Times Graphics Dept.
![]() | • WED NOV 5, 2025 • Kings crack the code late and close out the Warriors Sacramento Kings (121) vs Golden State Warriors (116) Sacramento, CA - The Kings edged the Golden State Warriors 121-116 in a fierce showdown defined by composure and clutch execution down the stretch. Golden State came out firing as Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski fueled an early 12-point lead, but the Kings steadied behind DeMar DeRozan’s mid-range mastery and Russell Westbrook’s relentless drives to trail just 62 to 57 at halftime. Sacramento’s resilience showed in the third quarter when Malik Monk’s spark and timely stops turned the game around, giving the Kings a seven-point cushion entering the final frame. The Warriors clawed back behind Jonathan Kuminga, Moody, and Richard, briefly grabbing a 103 to 102 lead, but Dennis Schröder responded with three huge three-pointers and a pair of calm free throws that sealed the win. DeRozan led Sacramento with 25 points, Westbrook had 23 points and 10 assists, and Monk added 21, while Richard scored 30 and Moody 28 for Golden State. In the end, the Kings’ poise under pressure and veteran leadership made the difference. Image Created By: The Golden Bay Times Graphics Dept.
![]() | • MON NOV 3, 2025 • Kings Fall Short in High‑Scoring Clash at Denver Sacramento Kings (124) @ Denver Nuggets (130) Denver, CO - The Kings gave it a strong push, but the Denver Nuggets held firm and handed Sacramento a 130-124 defeat. Denver led 39-30 after the first quarter and maintained control through much of the night, though Sacramento kept fighting. Denver star Nikola Jokic erupted for a season high 34 points and dished out 14 assists, anchoring the win. The Kings leaned on Russell Westbrook, who posted 26 points and 12 rebounds, both season highs, while adding six assists. The effort extended across the roster, with seven Kings scoring in double digits. Yet despite the push, Sacramento could not close the gap, as Denver built a 96 to 83 lead with two and a half minutes left in the third and held off the comeback. For the Kings, the loss continues a tough stretch versus Denver, serving as a reminder that despite flashes of offensive firepower, the defensive breakdowns and stretches of control surrendered by the opponent loom large. ![]() | • SAT NOV 1, 2025 • Kings Outlast Bucks in Wild Finish Sacramento Kings (135) @ Chicago Bulls (133) Milwaukee, WI - The Kings fought through a rocky start and pulled off a thrilling 135 to 133 road victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, turning what looked like a blowout into a gutsy win. After falling behind 47 to 36 in the first quarter, Sacramento regrouped and managed to tie things up 70 to 70 late in the second thanks to consecutive three-pointers by Dennis Schröder and Zach LaVine. The Kings took a 108 to 102 lead into the fourth quarter following a strong third (38 to 31 for them). Milwaukee clawed back, cutting it to 133 to 132 on a corner three by Myles Turner with 51 seconds remaining. But Sacramento’s poise held up as LaVine led the way with 31 points and DeMar DeRozan added 29 as they carried the team in crunch time. The Bucks shot nearly 60 percent for much of the contest, yet the Kings’ bench and timely runs kept them afloat. It was the kind of win that could boost confidence. After digging themselves into a hole early, Sacramento showed resilience and composure down the stretch, a promising sign if they hope to build momentum this season. ![]() | • WED OCT 29, 2025 • Kings’ Off Night Lets Bulls Extend Perfect Start Sacramento Kings (113) @ Chicago Bulls (136) Chicago, IL - The Kings came into Chicago hoping to bounce back but instead ran into a hot Bulls squad that played with confidence and precision. Zach LaVine led Sacramento with 30 points, and Domantas Sabonis delivered his usual steady production with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. Still, those efforts could not overcome Sacramento’s struggles from deep, as the Kings made just 7 of 28 three-pointers and never found a consistent rhythm. Chicago, meanwhile, leaned on rookie standout Matas Buzelis, who scored 27 points, and a strong team shooting performance that finished above 53 percent from the field. A decisive third-quarter push by the Bulls built a lead that Sacramento could not claw back from, even with a few late surges of energy. It was a frustrating road loss that highlighted the Kings’ need for sharper shooting and more consistent defensive stops. Moving forward, Sacramento will look to tighten things up, trust its system, and rediscover the balanced play that keeps them competitive in the West. ![]() | • TUE OCT 28, 2025 • Kings Come Up Short in Thunder Powered Rally Sacramento Kings (101) @ Oklahoma City Thunder (107) Oklahoma City, CA - The Kings fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder 107–101 as the Thunder erased an early deficit and pulled ahead down the stretch. Sacramento jumped out to a 29–24 first quarter lead and held a 62–57 edge at halftime, but Oklahoma City outscored them 22–21 in the third and 27–18 in the fourth to close the game. The Thunder were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who scored 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds, anchoring their fifth straight win to open the season. For Sacramento, Zach LaVine contributed 23 points and Domantas Sabonis pulled down 18 boards while adding 10 points. Despite a strong middle stretch, the Kings struggled in the final 12 minutes, committing untimely turnovers and allowing the Thunder to dictate tempo and finish aggressively. The loss drops Sacramento to 1–3 on the season and signals that while flashes of competitiveness are present, the squad will need more consistency, especially in defending the fourth quarter, if they hope to contend in a demanding Western Conference.
