               Gameday Briefs: Ten-Day Recap

MON NOV 24, 2025
Splash Zone Reset for Golden State
Golden State Warriors (134) vs Utah Jazz (117)

San Francisco, CA - Golden State finally exhaled as it snapped its three game skid with a 134-117 handling of the Utah Jazz, turning a tight first quarter into a reminder that this team can still blitz people when it locks in. A 21-0 burst to open the second quarter and a 41-20 win in that frame blew the game open, part of a tenth straight home victory over Utah that nudged the Warriors back over .500 at 10-9. Stephen Curry shook off an 0-for-4 start from deep and finished with 31 points on 12-for-24 shooting, hitting six threes for his fifth 30-point outing in his last six games while debuting the new “The Town” uniforms and matching court honoring the franchise’s Oakland years. Jimmy Butler filled the box score with 18 points, seven assists and six rebounds, Moses Moody added 15 and six, and Gary Payton II turned a rare start into nine points, six rebounds and a career-high eight assists as the bench piled up 52 points, led by Buddy Hield’s 20. Golden State shot 51-for-103 overall, 20-for-53 from three, won the glass 50-47, kept turnovers to just 10 and turned 17 Utah miscues into 14 points. Keyonte George’s 28 points, seven assists and six rebounds could not rescue a Jazz squad that has now dropped four straight and five of six, including an 0-5 mark on Western Conference roads, while Lauri Markkanen struggled to 17 points on 6-for-19 shooting.

Curry Outduels Wemby In Cup Thriller
Golden State Warriors (109) @ San Antonio Spurs (108)

San Antonio, TX - Stephen Curry erupted for 49 points, drilling nine three-pointers as the Warriors edged out the Spurs 109-108 to claim the sweep of their NBA Cup mini-series. Wembanyama put up 26 points and hauled down 12 boards, but ultimately couldn’t deliver the game-winning basket. The Warriors trailed late in the fourth until Curry drew a foul with six seconds left, sank both free throws and forced a De’Aaron Fox miss at the buzzer to seal it. Butler chipped in 21 points and solid all-around work, while the Warriors stayed composed amid physical moments, referees even separated Draymond Green and Wembanyama three times during a tussle in the fourth. Golden State turned San Antonio’s 21 turnovers into 25 points and managed to hang on despite being out-shot in the second half. The win improves the Warriors to 8-6 and puts them in good shape in NBA Cup group play; for the Spurs it’s a tough loss after strong individual performances.

Curry’s Late Night Fireworks Ignite Warriors
Golden State Warriors (125) @ San Antonio Spurs (120)

San Antonio, TX - Stephen Curry caught fire and the Golden State Warriors rode the flames to a 125 to 120 win over the San Antonio Spurs, snapping the Spurs’ perfect home record. After a shaky first half, Curry exploded in the third quarter and finished with 46 points, hitting 13 of 25 from the field and 15 of 16 from the free throw line. The Warriors used a 43 to 28 run in that third frame to flip the game and never looked back. San Antonio didn’t go quietly though. Victor Wembanyama put up a ridiculous 31 point, 15 rebound, 10 assist triple-double, while rookie Stephon Castle added one of his own with 23 points, 10 assists and 10 boards. Still, the Spurs shot just 36 percent from deep and coughed up 20 turnovers, allowing Golden State to cash in with transition buckets and second-chance points. After getting embarrassed by Oklahoma City the night before, the Warriors bounced back with grit and urgency. Curry’s heater was the difference, but this was also a statement win that reminded everyone Golden State isn’t ready to fade quietly into the background.

Cold Hard Truth for the Dubs
Golden State Warriors (102) @ Oklahoma City Thunder (126)

Oklahoma City, OK - The Warriors travelled to face the Oklahoma City Thunder and came away with a tough 126 to 102 loss. The Thunder’s pace and execution were relentless. Shai Gilgeous Alexander dropped 28 points with 11 assists in under three quarters, while Chet Holmgren had a flawless shooting night, going 9 for 9 from the field including 2 of 2 from three and hitting all three free throws to finish with 23 points and 11 boards. Meanwhile, the Warriors never found their rhythm. Their leader Stephen Curry returned from illness but managed only 11 points on 4 of 13 shooting and got into foul trouble in the third quarter. The Thunder built a 63 to 44 halftime lead and exploded with a dominant 107 to 72 advantage after three quarters, essentially sealing the outcome. For Golden State, the night was a harsh reminder of how far they’ll need to dig to match elite competition, especially on the road where they fell to 1 and 6 with this loss.

SUN NOV 9, 2025
Cold Hard Truth for the Dubs
Golden State Warriors (114) vs Indiana Pacers (83)

San Francisco, CA - Facing the Indiana Pacers, the Warriors pulled away in the second half and secured a decisive 114 to 83 victory at home. Leading the charge, Jimmy Butler posted 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in just 30 minutes. Supporting cast stepped up: Quinten Post and Brandin Podziemski each chipped in 14 points, while Will Richard added 15 off the bench. The Pacers, missing key players, stayed surprisingly close through three quarters before the Warriors' late surge in the fourth quarter where they poured in 39 points sealed the deal. The win brought Golden State to 6 and 5 on the season and showcased a wave of depth and hustle just when the team needed it. Home crowd got what they came for, a confidence boosting blowout. Next up is a road stretch, but for tonight the Warriors looked more locked in than we’ve seen all season.

FRI NOV 7, 2025
Cold Hard Truth for the Dubs
Golden State Warriors (104) @ Denver Nuggets (129)

Denver, CO - Golden State took a tough blow tonight on the road, falling 129-104 to the Denver Nuggets in their NBA Cup group-play showdown. Without their floor leader Stephen Curry, who was out due to illness, the Warriors couldn’t keep pace. Denver set the tone early, building a 32-21 first quarter lead and never looked back. Two stars carried the charge: Nikola Jokic dropped 26 points and made living look easy, while Jamal Murray added 23 to round out a dominant night. On the Warriors’ side, Draymond Green did what he could with 17 points and the milestone of 5,000 career assists. But Golden State went ice-cold from deep, only hitting 29.3 percent of their three-pointers, and turned the ball over 12 times, giving Denver more opportunities than they needed. Jonathan Kuminga chipped in 16 points and six rebounds off the bench, but the second unit couldn’t spark enough of a run. In short, this one was a wake-up call. With key pieces missing and execution sputtering, the Warriors will need to regroup fast if they want to contend in this event and beyond.

WED NOV 5, 2025
Kings crack the code late and close out the Warriors
Golden State Warriors (116) @ Sacramento Kings (121)

Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento Kings edged the Warriors 121-116 in a fierce showdown defined by composure and clutch execution down the stretch. Golden State came out firing as Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski fueled an early 12-point lead, but the Kings steadied behind DeMar DeRozan’s mid-range mastery and Russell Westbrook’s relentless drives to trail just 62 to 57 at halftime. Sacramento’s resilience showed in the third quarter when Malik Monk’s spark and timely stops turned the game around, giving the Kings a seven-point cushion entering the final frame. The Warriors clawed back behind Jonathan Kuminga, Moody, and Richard, briefly grabbing a 103 to 102 lead, but Dennis Schröder responded with three huge three-pointers and a pair of calm free throws that sealed the win. DeRozan led Sacramento with 25 points, Westbrook had 23 points and 10 assists, and Monk added 21, while Richard scored 30 and Moody 28 for Golden State. In the end, the Kings’ poise under pressure and veteran leadership made the difference.

Warriors’ Bench Steals the Spotlight in Solid Home Win
Golden State Warriors (118) vs Phoenix Suns (107)

San Francisco, CA - The Warriors claimed a 118‑107 victory over the Phoenix Suns at home, thanks to a dominant bench performance and timely leadership from their stars. Stephen Curry led the way with 28 points and five 3‑pointers. Meanwhile, off the bench, Moses Moody contributed an impressive 24 points (also hitting five triples) and the reserves collectively poured in 63 points versus just 19 from the Suns’ bench. The Warriors jumped out early with a 25‑point first‑half cushion, fueled by hot three‑point shooting (45.2 % vs. the Suns’ 36.4 %) and depth across the roster. The Suns battled back, cutting the lead to eight in the fourth quarter behind Devin Booker’s 38‑point effort, but Golden State held firm down the stretch thanks to free‑throw composure and an energy infusion from the second unit. With the win, the Warriors improved their home record to 4‑0 and halted a brief two‑game skid. Depth and timely shooting proved to be the difference in a game that showcased the team’s balance beyond its headline names.

SAT NOV 1, 2025
Lead Lost and Lessons Learned
Golden State Warriors (109) @ Indiana Pacers (114)

Indianapolis, IN - The Golden State Warriors dropped a tough one on the road, losing 114 to 109. After building an early 11-point lead and entering the fourth quarter ahead, Golden State’s offense stalled at the worst time as Indiana surged with a game-closing 21 to 5 run to seal the win. The Pacers got plenty of firepower from Aaron Nesmith’s 31 points and Pascal Siakam’s 27, with Quenton Jackson pumping in 25 including 12 in the fourth quarter and hitting a go-ahead pull-up jumper with 5.2 seconds left. On Golden State’s side, Stephen Curry led the way with 24 points on 8-of-23 shooting including a cold 4-of-16 from beyond the arc, Jimmy Butler III added 20, and Jonathan Kuminga chipped in 17. The most telling stat? The Warriors held the lead through three quarters but surrendered the final frame and couldn’t recover. In short, it was a game of two halves. Golden State looked sharp early, but Indiana’s depth and resilience did the damage down the stretch.

Rollins turns Fiserv into his Runway
Golden State Warriors (110) @ Milwaukee Bucks (120)

Milwaukee, WI - The Bucks outlasted the Warriors 120-110 behind a cold-blooded fourth quarter from Jalen Rollins, who finished with 32 and saved his loudest makes for the final minute. Milwaukee set the tone early, flipping an 11-6 Warriors lead into a 34-25 first-quarter cushion with Prince’s wing three at :33 and two Anthony jumpers, including a pull-up with :01 left. Golden State kept swinging, Podziemski’s cuts, Richard’s dunk to start the fourth, and a Curry surge that tied it 54-54 late in the second and pushed the Dubs ahead 76-72 midway through the third after a layup, a pull-up, and a bonus free throw at 6:30. The Bucks answered in kind as Portis stroked back-to-back threes in the second, Anthony steadied the third with deep makes, and Turner’s putback plus a late 29-footer built daylight. The Warriors had a pulse when Curry drilled a 26-footer to trim it to 106-104 with 4:03 left, yet Rollins splashed a step-back three at 3:53, Turner bombed from 29 feet at 3:27, and Rollins sealed it with another step-back from 28 feet at :25. Horford swatted two second-quarter threes, Green pinned one at 6:13 of the third, and Butler III lived on the glass with 23. Curry had 27, Kuminga 24, and Milwaukee’s late-game shotmakers closed it.

TUE OCT 28, 2025
Warriors flip the switch on LA
Golden State Warriors (98) vs Memphis Grizzlies (79)

San Francisco, CA - Golden State opened with pace and nerve, winning the tip to Stephen Curry and cashing in immediately as Draymond Green drilled a deep three, then Trayce Butler III knifed in for a reverse layup for 5–0. The Clippers leaned on Kawhi Leonard’s mid-range touch and James Harden’s bursts, with Harden piling up 13 by the end of the first and burying a 30-footer late in the second to push Los Angeles ahead 51–46 at halftime. The game turned in a flash after the break. Curry’s downhill finishes and table-setting sparked a 14–2 burst capped by Butler’s dunk for the lead and Brandin Podziemski’s step-back three to make it 63–57. Jonathan Kuminga hammered the lane for layups, Butler added a pair of threes and a tip-in, and Moody’s wing triple beat the clock as the Warriors closed the third up 78–63. Ivica Zubac kept LA afloat early with putbacks and a pile of offensive boards, but Golden State’s defense stiffened, forcing shot-clock violations and live-ball turnovers while Green swiped multiple steals. In the fourth, Butler floated home two more buckets, Moody splashed again, and Curry’s step-back from 28 feet stretched it to 93–70 before the benches finished it off. Final score: Warriors 98, Clippers 79, a wire-tight second half that turned into a bay-blue rout.
